Was looking for vegan food in the area and was glad we stopped by here! The Earth Bowl was fantastic with really fresh ingredients and a tasty peanut sauce. The coffee walnut bar was phenomenal, the coffee frosting was 10/10.
Had an amazing lunch and experience today at Bake Chop. Served by two brothers who gave amazing over the top customer service... food was great menu was excellent. Highly recommend the oatmeal cookie sandwich with vegan maple frosting... We will definitely be back!
My new favorite place to eat and have tea or coffee! Just recently had a lavender vanilla tea latte alongside my crème brûlée that changed my outlook on tea. It was so good!! Their coffee is good too, and I really enjoy their food. So many options with goat cheese, I love goat cheese. I will be coming back!
2-25-2025. Bake Chop may be a small restaurant, but it's big on good food and dishes that invite your taste buds to explore! The wait area seating is outside, so be mindful of the temperature when you go. We went for lunch, and my choices were Put Me Out to Pastor with a side of Crispy Garbanzo Salad (menu descriptions with photos). Delicious food with interesting and tasty blends of spices and veggies. The Garbanzos were firm and, thankfully, not crisped to crunch like Cheetos. I would order this meal again, but I also have eyes for a few other menu items on my next visit which will be soon. Wait times can vary from 20 minutes to 50 minutes, so enjoy your visit when your time isn't tight. Service is attentive and prompt, but no one hovers over you. It was such a welcome change from eating in predictable restaurants!
My hubby and I visited on Monday. We actually wanted to go to another restaurant, but it was closed on Monday. So glad it was closed. This place was a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff, great food, will come again. Had the teriyaki bowl and mushroom appetizer followed by the cheesecake. Yum!
Food was amazing, service was amazing. I had the quiche with a salad which was out of this world. This is my favorite restaurant in DeLand, everything I have ordered has been exceptional.
I get a burger at nearly every restaurant I go to on the first visit - I feel that is one item you can do either really well or not. So simple, yet the flavors can be so complex. This is top 3 without a doubt!! Service was awesome, atmosphere was quirky and quaint. Definitely worth it!
